Our second shop opened on July 9, 2026 at 101 N Salem St, on the corner of North Salem and East Chatham Streets in Downtown Apex. It's the same Groovy Duck you know from Raleigh: famous muffins, legendary chunky cookies, crafted coffee and custom cakes, baked fresh in small batches all day.
Stop in for a morning coffee, grab a box of cookies for the office, or pick up a cake for tonight's party.

Custom cakes in Apex
Birthdays, weddings, baby showers and every celebration in between. Design a cake with our decorators and choose Apex as your pickup location. We make single, double and triple-tier cakes, all decorated by hand. Most standard 6" or 8" cakes need three days' notice; for rush orders, call the shop at (919) 249-8266.
